Kính gửi quý đồng hương, Chúng tôi trân trọng kính thông báo đến quý
vị, Thống Đốc Tiểu Bang Florida Jeb Bush vừa ký văn bản ngày
29 tháng 10 năm 2004 công nhận Cờ Vàng Ba Sọc Đỏ là cờ Tự Do và Di Sản
của Cộng Đồng nguời Mỹ gốc Việt tại tiểu bang Florida. Trong
đó Thống Đốc viết:
NOW, THEREFORE,
I, Jeb Bush, Governor of the State of Florida, formally recognize the
Freedom and Heritage Flag as the official symbol of the Florida Vietnamese-American
community and support the efforts of Floridas Vietnamese-American community
to promote freedom and democracy in their country of origin. I encourage
the voluntary display of, and respect for, the Freedom and Heritage
Flag of Floridas Vietnamese-American community. I do hereby extend greetings
and best wishes to all observing The Freedom and Heritage Flag of the
Vietnamese-American community of Florida.
